Types of Video
Basically, there are three categories of video we can make
for you.
Straight Shot video is pretty
much just hitting record and letting it go, i.e. taping
the event in its entirety. This is the easiest and cheapest
type of video because it doesn't involve much post-event
work.
Documentary Style video is a
lot like a documentary you might see on the Discovery channel
or some other TV show. There are interviews and the highlights
are featured in the video. This costs more than the straight
shot because there is more post-event work required. This
is typically about a one-hour video.
The Nostalgic video has special
effects, titling, disolves/transitions, and is often set
with a lot of background music. This is often a shorter
video, but is very enjoyable to watch.
Why not have Uncle Jim tape it?
Because Uncle Jim doesn't use a high quality, 3 CCD, Digital
Camcorder. Seriously, when necessary, we use a lapel or wireless
(UHF) microphone. We have backup cameras. Also, we shoot with
an eye for what will be memorable and what will be necessary
to result in a high quality, edited video. We use multiple
professional computer programs to capture and edit your video,
then we create the DVD using another quality program.
